  • Comment: As far as the quality and features, I don't think you'll be disappointed. It's very sturdy and I have no doubt this will last many years. The 5-position setting makes it very useful, especially for some workout routines that call for a 30 or 60 degree angle position.

    However, as has been mentioned by a few other reviewers, the wheels are pretty useless for moving the unit. Also, and this is a safety issue: PLEASE be careful and make sure after you adjust the angle of the bench that it's set securely in the slot -- there have been a few occasions where the rubber/plastic covers that slip over ends of the adjustment bar, have caused it to slip out of position and the bench suddenly dropped down to the decline postion. I was fortunate that I wasn't injured, as this can cause major, or even disastrous results to someone holding heavy dumbbells in their hands, especially if they're facing downwards (such as a bench row position). I'm probably going to take off the rubber dampers altogether as I don't believe they're necessary for the bench to lock into each position.

  • Comment: The bench arrived earlier than indicated and was pretty easy to put together. It's very easy with two people. It is quite sturdy even for a 250lb guy like myself. Very happy with the SelectTech Bench 5.1.

  • Comment: I ordered this to complement my SelectTech dumbells. The bench was relatively easy to put together. I liked the fact the bench has wheels so if I am not using it I can easily put it away in the back room. The construction seems good except for the rubber cushion at the base of the bench. This is where the bar rests when it is in the full decline position. The cushion is already breaking (I have used it 4 times), but if needed could be replaced easily. The cushion would not be needed if you do not use the bench in the full decline position. For the money the bench is a good deal since comparable benches are more expensive.
